FEED

Through the Collaborative Group’s partnership with Feed Projects over 100 Guatemalan artisans and over 30 Kenyan artisans have been employed in the last year. This collaboration has produced products that have been sold through retailers such as Lord and Taylor, American Eagle, and Forever 21.

“I choose to work with The Collaborative Group because they are doing amazing work around the world to source artisan made products that are not only supporting local communities but are very well made in craftsmanship and quality...The Collaborative Group has been a great partner for FEED because of their grassroots and heartfelt approach to helping artisans and sourcing artisan made crafts from around the world.”

reef

Our ongoing collaboration with Reef footwear has produced sandals and footwear that features the work of three unique Guatemalan cooperatives, helping to preserve artisan crafts like ikat weaving, cording, and beading.

“Working with communities of artisans around the world is important to Reef because we believe that it is key to give back to people as we create innovative product. Through these partnerships, we hope to be able to aid in bettering lives and creating more sustainable communities. In addition, the hand-crafted nature of these products makes each sandal/shoe unique for our consumers. We chose to work with The Collaborative Group because they are involved in helping to build multiple communities of artisans throughout different parts of the world. They are very instrumental in helping these women learn skills that will educate them, making them more respected and self-efficient. Reef’s Latin roots tie in so well with The Collaborative Group’s involvement in Guatemala. The bright colors, traditional weaving, and native feel all exemplify Reef as the exotic beach brand.”
